The Institute of Architecture and Urban Planning of Serbia for the award of the annual Milorad Macura Awards for the best master’s thesis and the best doctoral dissertation in the field of architecture and urbanism in 2024/2025 received relevant quality papers. When selecting and finalizing the awarded papers, the Commission was guided by previously established criteria, such as the theoretical relevance of the topic, topicality and contemporaneity, applicability, methodological structure, graphic clarity and clarity of the research results.

The Institute of Architecture and Urban & Spatial Planning of Serbia (IAUS) in cooperation with the City of Šabac, achieved remarkable success and international visibility through its participation in two prominent exhibitions held in November 2025 – the 34th International Urban Planner Exhibition in Zrenjanin and the 7th Balkan Architectural Biennale – BAB 25, titled “NEW Bauhaus on Balkan”, in Belgrade.

The 19th Conference of the Associated Research Centers for Urban Underground Space (ACUUS 2025) was held in Belgrade from November 4 to 8, 2025, organized by the University of Belgrade, the Faculty of Transport and Communications, and the Institute of Architecture and Urban & Spatial Planning of Serbia (IAUS).

The Urban Planners’ Exhibition is a traditional annual manifestation of the Serbian Town Planners Association, showcasing the most significant and current achievements in the fields of spatial and urban planning, urban design, and realizations.

The Regional Investment Forum will take place on 9 October 2025 at the Training Centre, within the Letnjikovac pilot site in Šabac.

From June 10 to 13, 2025, the regular meeting of the NONA project partners took place in Veszprém, Hungary. The event was hosted by the City Administration of Veszprém. The event was attended by representatives of NONA partners from Serbia, members of the working teams of the Institute of Architecture and Urban&Spatial Planning of Serbia, as well as the City Administration of the City of Šabac.

On 30 May 2025, the Letnjikovac pilot location in the City of Šabac hosted a festive and meaningful event as part of the project NONA – New Governance for New Spaces. The occasion marked the official Festival Day with exhibition and the award ceremony
