Participation of the IAUS in the 32nd International Urban Planner Exhibition, organized by Serbian Town Planners Association, 2023.

The Urban Planner Exhibition is a traditional annual event organized by Serbian Town Planners Association, representing a showcase of the most significant and current achievements in the field of spatial and urban planning, urban design, and implementation.

32nd International Urban Planner Exhibition is held from November 8 – 11, 2023, in Niš, at the exhibition space of the Science and technology park, featuring a formal opening ceremony. The organizer of the 32nd International Urban Planner Exhibition is the Serbian Town Planner Association. The Salon executor is the Serbian Town Planners Association in collaboration with the PE Institute of Urbanism Niš and the Society of Town Planners of NiŠ. The general sponsor of the 32nd International Urban Planner Exhibition is the Ministry of Construction, Traffic, and Infrastructure & City of Niš. Sponsors include the cities of Belgrade, Novi Sad, Kragujevac, Uzice, Kosovska Mitrovica, and Banja Luka.

The Urban Planners’ Exhibition is organized as regular, with works within the following categories: 1. Regional Spatial Plans and Spatial Plans of Special-Purpose Areas; 2. Spatial Plans of Cities and Municipalities; 3. General Urban Plans and Plans of General Arrangements; 4. Plans of Detailed Arrangements; 5. Urban projects and realizations; 6. Competitions; 7. Researches studies and projects from the fields of urban and spatial planning; 8. Researches studies and projects from the fields of natural protection, landscape protection, environmental protection and landscape architecture; 9. Digital techniques, design and production in urbanism and architecture; Media presentation of urbanism and architecture; 10. Publications; 11. Unfulfilled urban ideas; 12. Students’ works.

The Institute of Architecture and Urban & Spatial Planning of Serbia traditionally participates in this event. This year, seven awards were won, including:

Grand Prize of the 32nd International Urbanism Salon for the overall production at the 32nd Salon, for exceptional contributions and comprehensiveness in urban planning in Serbia.

I Prize in the category of Regional Spatial Plans and Spatial Plans of Special-Purpose Areas: The Spatial Plan of Special-Purpose Area for Kolubara water suply system, authors: Nikola Krunić, Zoran Mirjanić, Nataša Danilović Hristić, Božidar Manić, Jelena Basarić, Danijela Srnić.

I Prize in the category of Plans of General Regulation: General regulation plan of Topola settlement, authors: Igor Marić, Branislava Simić; collaborators: N. Kostić, Tijana Crnčević, Božidar Manić, Nataša Danilović Hristić, Ana Niković, Maja Hristov, Borjan Brankov.

II Prize in the category of Urban projects and realizations: Urban projects for the infrastructure corridors of state roads: sections of the state road of the first order (connection E-761-Kragujevac) from the Katrge interchange (on the state road of the first order E-761 Moravski corridor) to the Mrčajevci interchange (on the state road of the first order no. 22 ); for the construction of the section of the E-80 highway from Niš (Merošin) to Pločnik (Beoljin), section 2, km 5+670.00 – km 14+300.00 – for the bridges M3, M4, M5 and the tunnel “Lalinac”, and Urban Project for establishing of public interest and the reconstruction of the intersection of state road IB order number 23 and state road IIA order number 200 (node 2328) and reconstruction of the section of state road IIA order number 200 Prijepolje-Manastir Mileševa-Aljinovići in the settlement, from the starting node no. 2328 to Oslobođenja square, authors: Nataša Danilović Hristić, Maja Hristov, Nebojša Stefanović; and Božidar Manić, Borjan Brankov.
