The “Milorad Macura” Annual Award in the field of architecture and urbanism
The Jury of the Institute of Architecture and Urban & Spatial Planning of Serbia for the “Milorad Macura” annual award for the best Master Thesis in the field of architecture and urbanism, considered two applications from the University of Belgrade – Faculty of Architecture: Master Thesis “Application of biophilic design for the purpose of regeneration : Ecological and Psychological Renewal Park”, by author Milica Brajović, and Master Thesis “Architectural Identities – Japanese Pavilion: The Role of Light in the Creation of Architectural Identity”, by author Dragana Barbulov.
Taking into account both Master Theses, the Jury made following decision:
The annual award “Milorad Macura” for the best Master Thesis in the field of architecture and urbanism in the 2021/2022 belong to Milica Brajović, for the work “Application of biophilic design for the purpose of regeneration: Park of ecological and psychological renewal“, from the University of Belgrade – Faculty of Architecture, under the mentorship of Professor Aleksandra Stupar, PhD.
The Jury of the Institute of Architecture and Urban & Spatial Planning of Serbia for the “Milorad Macura” annual award for the best Doctoral Dissertation in the field of architecture and urbanism considered four applications: 1) from the University of Belgrade – Faculty of Architecture, for dissertation “The Instrumentalisation of the Fluidity Phenomenon in the XXI Century Architecture”, by author Bojana Jerković-Babović, PhD; 2) two proposals from the University of Niš – Faculty of Civil Engineering and Architecture, for dissertation: “Planning Framework and Development Recommendations for Shrinking Small Towns – The Case of the Region of Southern and Eastern Serbia”, by author Milica Ljubenović, PhD, and other dissertation “The Influence of Changes in the Physical and Functional Structure of Multi-Storey Residential Areas on the Quality of Life of Their Residents in the Conditions of the Post-Socialist Transformation in the Example of the City of Niš”, by author Jelena Đekić, PhD.; 3) from the University of Novi Sad – Faculty of Technical Sciences, Department of Architecture and Urban Planning, for dissertation: “Spatial-temporal Patterns of Public Spaces Utilization in the Central Pedestrian Zones of the Cities in Vojvodina”, by author Stefan Škorić, PhD.
Taking into account all Dissertations, the Jury made following decision:
The annual award “Milorad Macura” for the best doctoral dissertation in the field of architecture and urbanism in the 2021/2022 belong to Bojana Jerković-Babović, PhD, for the dissertation “The Instrumentalisation of the Fluidity Phenomenon in the XXI Century Architecture”from the University of Belgrade – Faculty of Architecture, under the mentorship of Professor Vladimir Mako, PhD.
The “Dimitrije Perišić” Annual Award in the field of spatial planning
The Jury of the Institute of Architecture and Urban & Spatial Planning of Serbia for the “Dimitrije Perišić” annual award for the best Master Thesis in the field of spatial planning considered one application submitted from the University of Belgrade – Faculty of Geography for the work “The importance and problems of the construction of small hydroelectric power plants in Republic of Serbia” by author Jovana Jevtović.
Taking into account the candidate’s Master Thesis, the Jury made following decision:
The annual award “Dimitrije Perišić” for the best Master Thesis in the field of spatial planning in the school year 2021/2022 is awarded to Jovana Jevtović, for the thesis “Significance and problems of small hydroelectric power plants construction in the Republic of Serbia“, defended in October 2022 at the University of Belgrade – Geographical faculty, under the mentorship of Professor Dejan Filipović, PhD.
The Jury of the Institute of Architecture and Urban & Spatial Planning of Serbia for the “Dimitrije Perišić” annual award for the best Doctoral Dissertation in the field of spatial planning considered one submitted application from the University of Belgrade – Faculty of Geography for a dissertation “Mapping spatial conflicts and creating scenarios of spatial development of the Braničevo district”, by author Marija Živković, PhD.
Taking into account the candidate’s Dissertation, the Jury made following decision:
The annual award “Dimitrije Perišić” for the best Doctoral Dissertation in the field of spatial planning in the 2021/2022 belong to Marija Živković, PhD, for the Doctoral Dissertation “Mapping of spatial conflicts and creating scenarios of spatial development Branicevo district“, June 2022, University of Belgrade – Faculty of Geography, done under the mentorship of Professor Dejan Filipović, PhD.
