At the Competition for the Annual award “Aleksej Brkić”, on December 23rd, 2019, the Association of Architects of Serbia awarded the Jury Recognition for the most successful work in the field of architecture for 2018.
The Recognition was received for the successful realization of a demanding and complex task of the city block reconstruction and fitting of the new content into the old city block matrix. The award-winning realization illustrated the perseverance and consistency of the authors’ high-quality efforts to address the problems and challenges of functional, technical, investment and software requirements and conditions, and at the same time, “… in the constants of the existing context” bring a new (structure) interpretation through loading into the traditional city matrix.
The Jury Recognition was awarded to Dr. Igor Marić, Dr. Božidar Manić, Aleksandar Sudžuković, Bojan Zabukovac, and Zoran Mrvaljević, for the Hilton Hotel on the corner of Kralja Milana Street and Kralja Milutina Street, in Belgrade.
