The journal “Arhitektura i urbanizam” is the only scientific-professional journal in Serbia that comprehensively covers all topics in the fields of architecture, urban planning, architectural history, spatial planning, interior design, transportation, construction, energy efficiency, and the application of renewable energy sources in buildings, etc. It is also one of the few journals that publishes theoretical, research, and analytical papers by both established and young authors in these fields.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“Arhitektura i urbanizam” is one of the most significant journals in this field, with highly valuable authorial texts. The journal showcases the most significant architectural, urban planning, and construction achievements. Well-known names from the world of architecture, urban planning, and spatial planning are either collaborators or members of the editorial board. Almost one-third of the editorial board members are eminent international scientists and experts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The profile of the journal is both scientific and professional, as there are not enough journals in the mentioned fields that publish scientific works in Serbian, critically oriented towards theory and practice. Occasionally, the journal publishes some papers bilingually.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Starting from February 1, 2013, the journal “Arhitektura i urbanizam” began using the online journal editing service ASEESTANT, developed by CEON. ASEESTANT is part of the international SEESAME system, intended for domestic journals and journals from Southeast European countries. The application of the ASEESTANT service enables constant progress in the impact, quality, and internationalization of the journal’s papers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The journal “Arhitektura i urbanizam” is also available in electronic form on the internet, for which the National ISSN Center of Serbia assigned an e-ISSN number (2217-8074) in 2011. Since 2012, all scientific and professional papers in the journal “Architecture and Urbanism” have been assigned a DOI (Digital Object Identifier) number. The ISSN (Online) number and the DOI system allow unlimited access to both the journal itself and each individual article, which are available on the internet in full-text format. Since 2017, the journal has been accepted for indexing in the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ). This new functionality contributes to the visibility of the journal and, consequently, to its higher citation rate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
